Who Is Steve Spitz From Love On The Spectrum?

Love On The Spectrum arrived in the US after its success in Australia. Viewers saw six hopeful singles find love on the show and tackle moments such as first date jitters and sweet encounters. While the viewers loved all the casts on the show and the sweet moments, Steve established his own fandom after the show.
One of the reasons why Steve gained sizable followers is because of his voice. Some even commented that he should look into pursuing voice-over acting as a new career path. Steve was born in San Francisco to his parents Marlene and Harold Spitz. His parents shared their wedding vows in 1955. While his father’s side of the family is San Francian for more than three generations, his mother hailed from England. Marlene arrived in the United States with her brother Herman Martyn at a very young age.
Steve’s grandfather Edward Spitz was the founder of Guest Informant, a directory of tourist information distributed in 1,400 hotels across the country. Edward and his wife Francis also had a daughter named Elaine Oliver (Steve’s aunt) based in Los Angeles.
Harold served as a U.S. Navy radioman in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, Mr. Spitz joined Guest Informant. He became a publisher in 1962 and expanded the magazine to cities around the world. At the time of his retirement, he had been with the magazine for 58 years.
Harold was responsible for conceptualizing and expanding the publication into 17 other U.S. cities. He and his father sold the company in 1981. Harold continued on as publisher and CEO while expanding into cities worldwide. He was active in the UCSF Program in Thoracic Oncology, the Mount Zion Health Fund, and the Jewish Community Endowment Fund.
Meanwhile, Steve’s mother Marlene was born to her parents Sam and Rose Martyn. The family history is rooted in stage theatre and cinema. Herman, Marlene’s brother, was also an actor who switched his career to finance later on. He had two sons Richard and Mark and a daughter, Lee.
Sadly, Steve lost his mother Marlene in 1997 whereas his father Harold died on 15 June 2005 at the age of 80.
Steve was one of the three children born to his parents. He has two sisters Suzanne and Michele Spitz. Suzanne, who is currently 65 years old, maintains life away from the limelight. Whereas, his sister Michele has been working as a voice-over artist/film/audio description/philanthropy at “Woman of Her Word”. She also has an IMDB page.
Michele attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School and became a singer in the school’s choir. She spent a year at USC before transferring up to SF State where she graduated with a degree in Broadcasting.
