Netflix’s newest offering “The Mole” the streaming platform shares that the whole show is based on lies. The show is the reboot of ABC’s series based on the same name which ran for five seasons previously. The ten-episode show spreads across three weeks and sees 12 contestants competing together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end.

But one player has been designated the role of “mole” by producers to sabotage the rest of the players from their money-making efforts. Depending on how well the mole performs their task, which harms the tasks and reduces the prize money, the participants’ earnings are determined. One player will ultimately outlast the others and uncover the Mole to take home the cash.

Avori Henderson is one of the contestants. Being a professional gamer who competed against 55 men on Team USA, she believes she has the upper hand in this competition. Her strategy going in is to “watch every detail of every player and spot inconsistencies.” She has a background in problem-solving however she believes in people’s kind words which is her weakness.

Avori Henderson was born to her parents Dorsey and Dr. D Wade Henderson.

Dr. D Wade Henderson has been providing eye care for the Springfield area for over 20 years.  He is recognized for outstanding clinical proficiency in the treatment of ocular disease and comprehensive care eye care with a special interest in glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, corneal disease, and dry eye.

He also provides other full-scope services including adult and pediatric family eye care, urgent care, and specialty contact lens fitting. In addition, he directs surgical co-management for LASIK and refractive surgery, glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, corneal surgery, and retinal surgery.

Dr. D Wade Henderson received his doctorate in 1996 with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, from Northeastern State University.  He is the former Clinical Director of the Kansas Eye Center, one of the largest and most progressive surgical and referral centers at the time.  He assisted in the development of the Midwest Ambulatory Surgical Center and has also served as the Director of the Referral Center for Glaucoma and Ocular Disease, as well as Chair Coordinator of the Refractive Surgery and LASIK Clinic. 

Avori’s mother Dorsey also works at Henderson Eye Center starting from 2005. She is a 1996 graduate of Northeastern State University and attended high school in Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

The stream had 135,806 unique viewers, 166,342 live views, and 7,235 concurrent viewers.

The event raised over $10,000 to benefit various charities including FredHutch and the Children’s Miracle Network. Her realization regarding the politics involved surrounding Miss America made her drop out from the Miss America competition and pursued the online tournament the same week during the pageant. She started pageantry by competing in the Miss Missouri pageant in Mexico, Missouri in 2016.

Growing up, Avori had made her goal to model professionally and was also signed by Ford Models and Hollister. When her father turned fatally ill when she was 16, it was hard for her and her family. So, she decided to do something with her life thus she signed up for her first pageant where she could advocate for her dad’s health situation and try to educate others on how to avoid such illnesses.

Avori became the 2013 Sweet Corn Pageant Runner-up and 2015 Miss Missouri Teen USA 16th place out of 65.

Avori was once banned from Twitch, without any explanation. She believes it was because she was wearing a tank top underneath after she removed a jacket and her body art on her shoulder. Her page was down for 24 hours.
