RuPaul’s Drag Race returned for season 15 and on a new network MTV. This season fans of the award-winning show will be meeting 16 queens. In addition, the program is offering the winner its largest prize ever: $200,000. And if that weren’t enough, RuPaul’s Drag Race will air its historic 200th episode in the following season.
January 6 sees the premiere of a two-part series. The official Emmy-winning show, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, will debut right after on MTV. With the exception of the twins, the season 15 cast consists of a diverse group of queens.
Irene Dubois is the drag sister of Season 14 finalist Bosco. Other interesting cast members this season are Kerri Colby’s legendary drag mother, Sasha Colby, and twin TikTok stars Sugar and Spice, and the first queen from Miami Malaysia Babydoll Foxx.

And then sometimes I like to dress up like an alien.” She believes, “Drag is a cathartic release of joy. I think people like to watch other people have uninhibited fun.”

“Putting on drag is like a Tibetan mandala,” reasons Irene. “You put in tons of work, tons of experience is behind it. And then at the end, you just wipe it all off. It’s very meditative.”
Irene incorporates this into her performance approach by frequently coming up with performances that use music, news media, and spectacle to tell a message. She performs every Friday and Saturday at her home bar R Place for their “Lashes” event, hosts brunch every Saturday and Sunday at Julia’s on Broadway and presents Seattle’s top 18+ night every Thursday at Neighbours Nightclub.
